what statistical test should br used when conducting a memory test?
This will *always* depend on the form your raw data takes. In fact, the statistical tests don’t really care about what you are testing any further than the type of score you get out of it. So if you get a “yes they remember” verses “no they don’t” sort of score, you’d do a chi squared, maybe. If you got a score like 20/25, 19/25, 23/25 etc for two different groups you might do an ANOVA. If you were comparing memory at age, you do a correlation. There is no one statistical test for memory experiments.
