Asus rampage formula or gigabyte GA-x48-dq6?

between those 2 mobos, I would go with the DQ6, BUT!!!! there are other gigabyte mobos that are PRACTIACALLY EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE SQ6 but $50 cheaper.

in the link I have provided, you will see the DQ6, but you will also see the DS5 and DS4. These three mobos are PRACTICALLY THE SAME THING, just that the DS4 has 6 SATA2 ports while the DS5 and the DQ6 have 8. But other than that these 3 boards are exactly the same, and I am not exaggerating. Look up their spec and you will find that all have the same, BUT the DS5 and DS4 are considerably cheaper than the DQ6
If I were you I would buy a DS5 or DS4 and use that extra money to get a good CPU heatsink/fan so that you can overclock nicely.
