The density of super strings revisited (clarified)?

String theory postulates the entire universe is made up of one dimensional strings of vibrating energy one Plank length (10^-33 cm) long. Because they are finite length (size), it follows there must be a density based on number of strings in some given volume of space. What is the density of those strings in number of strings per unit space? Is it a uniform density or heterogenious over space? Does it make sense to define density over 4D space or 11D space? Why?

I’m not sure if any properties such as density has even been attempted to determine due to fact that the nature of what strings truly are hasn’t been determined, if they really exist at all. For instance, the fact that gravity as a force is seemingly much weaker than the other basic forces, like the electromagnetic, may be due to strings that cause gravity may be able to travel through 11d space, while strings responsible for other forces are stuck in our 4D space.
