I am a photographer and other photographers suggest that I use an iMac Apple Notebook …?
What would be the difference from a regular PC, regular laptop or an Apple iMac Notebook? Pls advise.
The iMac is the all-in-one desktop computer that Apple makes. It is not a notebook.
Apple makes two models of notebooks.
One is the Macbook. The Macbook is the consumer level notebook.
The other one the the Macbook Pro. The Macbook Pro is the professional level notebook. Among other features, it will have a faster video card, larger hard drive, and faster bus.
Unless you plan on doing more than photography, the Macbook, with a larger hard drive than base will do well for you.
Why is an Apple notebook a better choice than a Windows notebook? First, a Windows notebook is not a “regular laptop”. To call it “regular” in comparison to a Macbook, is to imply that the Macbook is “irregular”, which neither are.
They are many reasons that a Macbook is a better choice. I’ll give you one:
Ease of use.
Every thing you do on a Mac takes less effort and less steps from the user than on Windows. Some things happen with no effort. For example, when you remove your new Macbook for its box for the first time and turn it on, it will automatically connect to the first wireless router that it finds. On Windows, you have to go to the control panel and tell it to use wireless, then tell it what router to connect to.
In short, a Macintosh is for people who want their computers to work for them while Windows is for people who want to work for their computers.
