Asus eee pc 7inch screen with Linux help?
I want to buy the Asus eee pc 7inch 4g. If I buy it with Linux already on it, does it come with the installation of windows XP so I can just pop the CD into my drive ( I have one I can connect to the asus) so I can upgrade it? If that is the case, then I can save money and not buy the one with XP already installed oni t.
I have the 7-inch 4G. I gave the Asus-massaged Xandros distribution a try for about six months. I eventually got tired of not being able to use all the programs I am accustomed to, and occasionally having to do stuff in the Terminal command line window.
I bought a copy of XP Home on eBay and installed a gig of RAM in my Eee. Asus provides you a CD with Eee drivers for Windows. You first install Windows, then once that installation is done and you are all booted up, you install the Eee driver CD.
