Supply Poweredge

How good are the power supply units on Dell computers?

For each brand (Vostro, Optiflex, Precision, XPS, PowerEdge), what is the voltages of the power supply units of each brand?

More importantly, what is the desired voltage of a power supply and how much should I buy (500 volts, 700 volts, etc.)?

Depends on what your putting in it. Most home computers come with 450 w psu standard, gaming ones usuially have 750w psu so the computers probally in be tween that.

Case Mid

Case Mid

in the case of smear tests what exactly is mid cycle?

My doc hass told me to get one done mid cycle is that exact to the day or in or around a few days?

Periods are not rock solid in their length, there is commonly a bit of variation. For some women, such variation may not be more than a day…. for others there may be several days variation. So my point is that exactly mid-point would be difficult to always predict. And besides, what if your midpoint occurs at 4 am on a Sunday morning? :)

Just shoot for about midway. Let’s say that your period is every 28 days and runs reliably for about 4 days. If you start a period on New Year’s Day, you should usually start your next one on January 29th, right. Then a good mid-point plan on your appointment for your smear would be anywhere from say January 10th through January 17th or 18th.

Out Agp

Out Agp

How do I find out how many agp my GeFroce card is?

I have a GeForce 7600 GT with 256 memory. How do I know how many AGP it is?

AGP is a bus technology, like PCI or PCI-Express. It was for older video cards.
The 7600GS was an AGPx4 or x8 card I believe, I run one in an AGPx4 slot. The GT model must be similar, and I suspect it will run in an x8 AGP slot.
Not sure if that answers your question, your term “agp” is confusing….

Backlight Lcd

Backlight Lcd

how do i take the backlight out of an lcd screen?

i read that if i take the backlight out of an lcd screen it will be transparent. i will do that, if it works, than i will take a florescent light and put it under the screen so that it shines light on it but the light source won’t be visible. any validation if this will work or not.

also, for years i have lived under the belief that if a guy pierces his right ear he is gay, left ear is straight, and both is gangsta.
true? or dare i say…false?

Once you have the LCD removed from the housing, it is generally a matter of gently prying the metal bracket off the outside perimeter of the LCD.

But if you are planning on removing the backlight to add a florescent light, then you are planning on doing something that is already done. The backlight of your LCD is a CCFL tube, which stands for Cold Cathode Florescent Lighting.

IF you were to just add your own florescent light, without a diffuser like the current backlight has, the image would not be viewable as the light would be stronger at one point, and weaker in the corners and edges.

The only reason you would take the backlight off an LCD, other than to replace it, would be to use the LCD to build your own projector.

It’s relatively easy to do,
