can i get a replacement motherboard(ms-6577 v2.1) from compaq/hp for my copmaq presario 6240in pc?

my pc’s motherboard went dead due to some unknown reason..i want a exact make mobo..but the guys at the hp service centre is refusing…unless he checks it for himself…
my pc is out of warranty and whats the use of showing the pc to the hp service centre…would’nt they give the mobo even if i give them the model no…and proof of purchase…
also can anybody give me any clue where to find this mobo…

MS_6577 v2.1 is made by MSI… any motherboard starting with MS is an MSI product, you could get one from compaq, but they will likely charge you twice what they should… better off checking ebay and be sure you get one with a antiDOA guarentee

On my ASUS eee pc the sound doesn’t work on you tube?

I have a ASUS Eee PC laptop and it runs on the original program it came with, not windows. When i am on msn it makes the sounds fine but when i go on you tube it makes the sound really quite? i dunno why, every things at full blast and it just don’t work. Anyone know whats up with it? xxx

Check control panel and audio setting then check your browser setting and check realtec software and if u have it remove it it will show a blue man falling

Where can I buy Westinghouse monitor cable parts? I lost all the cables and power cord. (LCM-19v1)?

The power cable is pretty much standard (it’s probably the same as your AC cable to your computer). The video cable is fairly common as well. You can probably find both at your local computer store. However, for the best prices, go to Newegg.

How is the lifetime related to these parameters? What is the average lifetime of a brand name LCD monitor? Thank you for your help.

The LCD/TFT array and the cold cathode fluorescent backlight have different working life expectancy and failure characteristics. The individual LCD elements most probably fail individually giving a slowly degrading image. The backlight usually fails over a short period of a few months ending in total failure. The CCF average working life is 10,000hrs, The LCD array may last 3-5 times longer

Installed new vid card Vista x64 is not shutting down. What could be the prob?

I just installed a video card (Geforce 8600 GTS PCIe). And ever since my machine will not shut down.
I have a Vista x64 Ultimate OS with 4gigs ram and all latest drivers.

You might need to do a windows update. Something is conflicting with your drivers.
