If I replace the LCD inverter in my Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop, will it fix the screen?
I have a old Dell Inspiron laptop and the screen shows nothing but several vertical and horizontal lines. The actual screen has no physical damage, but I’m pretty sure it’s just a cable on the inverter thats messed up.
What does it show on a external monitor? If the same then it is GPU causing problem otherwise you may be right about the lcd cable itself not the inverter though. inverter controls brightness that’s it not the data coming from the GPU. Depends how the configuration is on the wiring though usually the lcd cable splits from single connection that goes to the motherboard to two output on the other end to connect to inverter and lcd panel itself. Need to find flat screen monitor compatible with Dell Inspiron desktop 530?
I need a flat screen,not LCD screen,monitor. I need to know what VGA technology and what type monitor will work with Dell desktop Inspiron 530?
I put on a flat screen monitor that worked on another computer. The green button turned orange after 1 sec with no video ouput on the screen what is wrong with this computer?
Mostly 99.9 percent of monitors will work.

Can anybody tell me where can I find a 1X8 monochrome LCD display?
I’m a research student and is building a electronic device which requires a 1X8 digit monochrome LCD module. I’m from Mechanical Engineering Background and so give me details on where to find one, and how to make it work ?
How to make it work is going to greatly be affected by the incoming source from the device. Do you already have a display buffer in the circuit? You didn’t give enough details to get specific enough. Jamco and Newark are two good places to start.
