Rocketfish Universal

Will the Rocketfish Universal Wireless rear speaker set work with a 7.1 channel set up?

If so will one set power the rear and side speakers or would I buy a second set?

Yes it will work, and yes you need a second set for the rear speakers. You also need a receiver or preamp to decode the sound and send it to the speakers.

Front Lcd

Front Lcd

Will a dlp projector passing in front of an LCD tv make a difference to people watching the LCD?

The projector will show all the dust in the air, making it really weird to look at. So that is not a good a idea.

Hinges Latitude

Laptop Screen into Standard Monitor?

I’ve got a shitty dell latitude d610 laying around. the screen’s hinges are broken so the only thing connecting it to the laptop is a black cord.

Would it be possible to disconnect the screen and turn it into a monitor with video input, so I could connect it to my xbox360 with vga cables or something?

I’ve never hacked or modded so I’m looking for some insight to see what I’m getting into, or if it is even possible.

No.

It is easier an probably cheaper to go buy a new screen.

The signals on that cord are definitely not VGA. They will be TMDS or LVDS, which you would need to convert to from the VGA signals from your laptop. Also you would need to generate power for the panel, and any of the other control signals that go from the system to the screen.

Supply Tested

Supply Tested

Why is it that a battery may test at normal voltage even when it is too spent to supply appreciable power?

Why is it that a battery may test at normal voltage even when it is too spent to supply appreciable power to a circuit??? Explain your answer.

Batteries rely on chemical reactions to supply power. These reactions will inevitably produce bi-products inside the battery that will only serve to build up an appreciable resistance until the voltage can no longer pass through. A battery can produce the same voltage for an extremely long time, but producing a current will not be possible if there are too many spent chemical bi-products present that act as insulators.
