Mobile Celeron

Mobile AMD Sempron™ 3500+ (1.8GHz/512KB) OR Intel® Celeron® M Processor 380 (1.60GHz/1MB Cache/400MHz FSB)

which one is better for basic use such as internet and ms office pro

For basic and interent use…go for the Celeron mobile processor anyday! AMD is more gaming oriented .
Thanks,
Colin.

Original Apple

What version of apple itunes do i need for the original ipod shuffle?

my friend didnt want his any more and gave it to me but the itunes that i have for my 20 gig photo color ipod wont work.

some of the iPod’s have a security feature on it that won’t allow it to be used on more than one computer. as far as i know, the very new ones (video and new nano) don’t have that anymore, but the old shuffle might still have the feature. therefore, sticking it in your computer when it has already been in your computer will make it non-functional. i’m not positive that this is the problem, but its certainly possible…because they did used to have that security feature on the iPods.

Sdram Sodimm

How do I install a new hard drive on my IBM X40 Thinkpad (while preserving the pre-installed Windows XP)?

I recently purchased a (1) 60GB replacement mini hard drive (Lenovo Part No. 73P3358 )and (2) additional RAM (1GB PC2700 CL2.5 NP DDR SDRAM SODIMM; Lenovo Part No. 31P9834) for my Thinkpad X40 (2371HU1). This hard drive will replace the 40GB hard drive that came with my Thinkpad.

My Thinkpad had arrived with Windows XP pre-installed by IBM/Lenovo. As a result, I was never provided with a disk for the operating system.

I would be grateful for help with instructions for installing my new hard drive and RAM, such that I would be able to continue to retain my Windows XP operating system. Simpler instructions would be particularly appreciated. I am still quite new at this.

Thanks.

The X40 has a powered USB. ThinkPad X40 lacks an integrated optical drive, but its powered USB port makes it easy to add one, or you could add one via the media slice. Unfortunately, the X40 doesn’t include a FireWire port. You can back everything up on a flash drive or remote hard drive.
A nice 250 GB (for $70) external drive like http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1538960&CatId=0
Of course your new 60 GB drive would be good enough if you could put it into another computer (like at the store you got it from)…
