Surge Protection


What would the best type of electrical protection UPS or Surge Protector?

I’m looking to protect a commercial use GPS computer electricaly from surge. It is hardwired to a 24VDC terminal and 12VDC terminal for a RUN/Held. The power logic is initialized when it sees 8 amps.

MOST UPS devices ALSO have surge protection for 110 volts supply.
For other voltages, you should contact the manufacturer of the device for information.

I cant find memory for my old IBM Thinkpad X22….?

I have an old IBM Thinkpad X22 laptop. I got it for free from a friend, and i noticed on the bottom, there is a memory slot, but it is empty. My thinkpad is running 128mb fixed RAM, which is very slow. I cant seem to find any local electronics stores that carries my memory type. Any one know where i can find it for cheap other than online pc mem stores?

since it’s that old is it DDR SDRAM? What chipset do you have?

i hv buied new computer smps as my pc ws nt wrkng properly but nw i came to kn that my motherboard hs to be changed,so can i use p4 smps wd accessories r of p3 confrigrations

Do you mean you can use P4 processor with p3 motherboard? Well, I don’t think the socket is the same. P4 processor socket is LGA 775.

Which is a better Video card?

“Sapphire Radeon HD 2600XT 256MB DDR4 Dual DVI-I / TVO PCI-Express video card ” or “Visiontek Radeon HD 3650 Video Card – 1GB GDDR2, PCI Express 2.0, CrossFireX Ready, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV, HDMI Support” please tell me why
They are both about 100 dollars so i guess they are good.
I want a video card that is good for games if there is a better one that is close to 100 dollars or less please tell me

3650 is much better than the 2600. The 2600 is the new integrated card on most brand name computers these days so users can enjoy Vista Aero … think about that for a second.
