What Does Max Component Density Mean?

This is from the crucial website, what does max component density mean? I want to add an extra GB of RAM from play.com, but don’t know if it is high density or not: http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/-/704/911/-/3317197/PNY-PC3200-1GB-400MHz-DDR-184pin-DIMM-Computer-Memory/Product.html?searchtype=genre or http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/-/704/911/-/931233/Computer-Memory-1GB-PC3200-DDR-400Mhz-184pin-DIMM/Product.html?searchtype=genre

Chipset: Intel 845GV
Max Unbuffered DDR SDRAM: 2048MB
Supported DRAM Types: DDR SDRAM only
184-pin DIMM Banking: 2 (2 banks of 1)
Module Types Supported: Unbuffered only
Error Detection Support: Non-ECC only
Graphics Support: AGP 4X
Max Component Density: 512Mb
USB Support: 2.x Compliant

Well it’s the most memory that your motherboard will recognise on each stick of RAM. The most ever achieved is 16GB per stick. Obviously people will only be able to afford the DDR2 version if they can afford it at all.

Dell Ati

Dell Ati

Do you think I could run an ati radeon 4770 in a dell studio 540 with a 350 watt power supply?

The Dell 350 watt power supply has halfway decent specs. They support 25A combined (300W) on the +12V rails. (It’s either a Liteon PS-6351-2, or a Delta with the same specs.) For a 350 watt power supply, the Dell ones are better than average.

The recommended power supply for a Radeon 4770 is 400 watts, so 350 watts is less than optimal, however, the rating on the +12V is still pretty strong (25A), so I would be inclined to try it. (For example, if it was rated for 22A combined on the +12V, I would probably tell you not to use it at all, so it’s pretty close.)

I bet the Radeon 4770 will work fine, but it you notice it’s generating errors, or freezing, or rebooting, under the load of running games, just upgrade the power supply and get it over with. Don’t keep using the computer that way, after it starts giving you signs of being unstable.

Rambus Non

Does Rambus non ecc PC800-40 and PC800-45 work on the same board?

Hey, I am trying to buy a Rambus non ecc PC800 memory from ebay. The one I have on my motherboard is (2X256MB)Rambus Non-ECC PC800-40 and the ones on sale on ebay are Rambus Non-ECC PC800-45 (2X256MB) so I am wondering if those two could be combined together to make (4X256MB) 1 GB memory. Can PC800-40 and PC800-45 work together??

Thanks
I put my computer together so its a no brand :P

Post Card

Post Card

How do you know if you have an antique post card or greeting card?

How do you know if you have an antique post card or greeting card? My granmother- in – Law Just passed away and she seemed to share the same passion of collection postcards and greeting cards as I do! She was VERY BIG on collecting antiques as well and some of these cards and post cards look REALLY OLD! I dont want to mail something that could be worth a whole lot more than 42 cents.

Post Cards usually have some sort of can be undivided or divided, but usually have a place where it notes postage is due. Post cards started out as personal mailing cards and would be hard to tell from a single sided greeting card. Pick up a book on collecting post cards and learn the difference in age from card to card. I’d suggest The Postcard Price Guide by J L Mashburn. Please what ever you decide, post card or greeting card, don’t just slap a stamp on it and pop it in the mail.

Fujitsu Stylistic

how do I install windows XP on an old tablet pc model?

I have a fujitsu stylistic 3400 with an external floppy drive and only one usb tablet. I have macguyvered it once, but forgot how. I know for a fact that it could work.

The laptop that you speaking is not a good candidate to install xp, the processor is to slow, and unless you have lots of ram its a waste of your time, the laptop will be quite slow with 400mhz processor.
