How can I tell if my computer has a PCI or PCIE video card?
I have a Dell 9100 thats about 2 years old and am in need of a new video card. Just want to make sure i get the right kind the first time.
If you look at the diagrams here, it is clear you have a PCIE video card and mainboard.

Otherwise, look inside. Thee graphic below is of the various kinds of PCIE slots. Note: from the right to the left, the slot has a solid piece of plastic about a half inch in.

I am looking for a video card for my Gateway computer.?
It has a intel core 2 duo e6300 64 bit processor.
I have 2 gigs of memory and a 250 gig Serial ATA II HD
My power supply is 300 watts
I would like to get a 256m card with tv capabilities.
I’m a novice when getting around the inside of my machine so any info/advice would be appreciated. Also I am running XP

You have a 300W power supply and thats a problem. Most 256mb cards need atleast 350w. Even the geforce 7600s need a 350w PSU. You might beable to run it on 300w but i wouldn’t risk it. So before you upgrade the video card, upgrade your power supply first.

They are both about 100 dollars so i guess they are good.
I want a video card that is good for games if there is a better one that is close to 100 dollars or less please tell me
3650 is much better than the 2600. The 2600 is the new integrated card on most brand name computers these days so users can enjoy Vista Aero … think about that for a second.

PCMCIA on my laptop with usb ports?
i have recently installed a pcmcia on my laptop. Seemes to be working OK until I connect my usb internet connection . All it does is keep rebooting. How do I solve the problem
