Server Chassis

is there a difference between a pc chassis and a server chassis?

can you install a server mobo into a pc chassis?

It will depend on the dimensions. I have a Dual Xeon server motherboard thats slightly larger than a normal motherboard and required a specific case.

Check the mobo’s dimensions and the case’s specs and if the size fits, you’re good to go.

which one will fit my motherboard is intel dg41rq ?

with your choices, duke casing is the best. although astone has a glossy outside paint. but duke gives you a better airflow since its mesh type. also, try to search for achilles from frontier casings i think. same manufacturer of duke i think. its also a good case.

but haf 932, antec 902, gigabyte sumo 5115, cosmos s are good high end casings.

Watt Micro

Watt Micro

What info do I need to find out how long it will take for a solar panel to recharge a battery?

I know the battery and the panel are both 12-volt, the Panel is 60-watt, and I think the battery is 500-amps. I know there is a 500 after the word amp, but the label is torn before, so I do not know if it is 500 amps, or 500 micro-amps. (is there a 500 micro-amps?)
What info do I need?

Battery could be 500 amp-hours, but that is a very large battery. A large auto battery is about 70–100 amp-hours. Or the 500 amps could be a max current rating, and have nothing to do with capacity.

How big is it physically? If it is ordinary car battery size, I’d say it is 70 amp hours.

If it really is 500 amp-hours, and the panel delivers 60W / 15v = 4 amps (it takes 15 volts to charge a 12 volt lead-acid battery), then:

500 amp-hours / 4 amps = 125 hours to charge it. (70 amp-hrs, this would be 18 hours) But at that slow a rate, barely a trickle charge, it could take significantly longer than the 125 hours. Be sure you have a good 5 amp diode between the array and the battery so that the battery doesn’t discharge through the solar array when the sun goes down.

Note that, as mentioned above, the array has to deliver 15 volts plus the diode drop, say 16 volts, before the battery charges at all. You may get this only with a very bright sun.
