How do you know if you have an antique post card or greeting card? My granmother- in – Law Just passed away and she seemed to share the same passion of collection postcards and greeting cards as I do! She was VERY BIG on collecting antiques as well and some of these cards and post cards look REALLY OLD! I dont want to mail something that could be worth a whole lot more than 42 cents.

Post Cards usually have some sort of can be undivided or divided, but usually have a place where it notes postage is due. Post cards started out as personal mailing cards and would be hard to tell from a single sided greeting card. Pick up a book on collecting post cards and learn the difference in age from card to card. I’d suggest The Postcard Price Guide by J L Mashburn. Please what ever you decide, post card or greeting card, don’t just slap a stamp on it and pop it in the mail.

Lcd Light

Lcd Light

Laptop screen shows but lcd light isnt on…?

I can see everything but it hard to see… and the lcd light isnt working.

I assume you have tried adjusting the brightness from the keyboard buttons and from the Control Panel?

Use the OS CDs that came with it to boot into Safe mode. Do the backlights work now? If so, readjust the brightness control in Safe mode, and reboot the machine normally. DO NOT adjust the brightness in normal mode.

If the backlight doesn’t work when booted from the CD, then likely your backlights have burnt out or the connection or the power circuit to them is defective. Take the machine to a technician or contact the manufacturer if it is still under warranty.

Add Card

Add Card

How to add a video card and 2nd monitor?

I have a Windows PC with Vista Home 64 and 32 bit. I want to add a video card, but also keep the on board graphics active, then run two monitors. How can I do this?

No, you can’t. You need to get a video card with support for dual monitors, and 2 ports in it (VGA or DVI). Both monitors need to be connected to the same card, not one to the card and one onboard port.
