Fan Socket
How do I install a P4 socket 478 fan/heatsink?
My fan on my 3-yr old computer failed so I got a new one. It is a Thermaltake for the P4, socket 478, obviously an old model (eg, no “manual” on their site).
It came w/no instructions. I have read about using thermal paste but do I really need to? I heard it voids any warranty. I have never installed one of these and I don’t want to ruin the cpu.
Anyone have detailed instructions?
The thermal paste is to transfer the heat from cpu to heatsink. You should add it to your heatsink.Just add like your old cpu paste design. Then take out your thermaltake and lookout how to install it.It must be one or two direction that can position the cooler.Just try it.I think its very simple or if you confuse again, then type the product name at yahoo search.Maybe there its a manual to install it.

#1 Is it hard to replace this fan on my mobo chipset?
#2 Any suggestions on purchasing a new one?
Would this work?

Which is better? I know ball bearing, but what is sleeve?
Thanks. i think i’m gonna go with the aluminum sleet from newegg. $9.99 plus $5 ship. It was the cheapest i’ve seen. Tiger’s shipping is always too much where I live.
msi k8n neo2 plat
No its not hard and not too costly.>

Its not sleeve, its sleet and this is the coating on aluminum.
I have found new egg to be not so supportive with returns as tiger direct.
Exhaust Blower
What could be causing my dryer to get so hot?
Earlier today, my husband replaced the blower wheel in our dryer. It seemed to work fine, but when I checked on the load we were drying, I noticed that the dryer itself was VERY, VERY hot. You couldn’t even put your hand on it, so you can image what the heat inside was like. My husband checked to see if maybe the exhaust hose was kinked or blocked, but it’s fine and is blowing out ridiculously hot air.
Any suggestions on what could be causing this? We’ve never had this problem before.
827 gazillion points to anyone who can figure this out.
Ok….he messed with it a little yesterday while I was out shopping and said that the tumble and low settings are working fine and will cycle off. It is only on the regular setting that it won’t cycle off.
Perhaps there is unseen lint caught in the exhaust. You could always call SEARS and ask them about it, they might be able to fix it even if you didn’t buy from them.
Shroud Dimension
What’s the Merkaba? Why aren’t people supposed to teach it?
I read it may be dangerous and there are like two teachers each claiming to be the one teaching the proper form of this meditation shrouded in secrecy. Madonna is among those reportedly entertaining/ practicing this new (for her) faith.
I indirectly stumbled on this (from my best understanding) an ancient jewish prayer/meditation that when faithfully practiced spin chakras in a specific pattern that enables a spiritual dimension of self to divide from the physical. If you are familiar with this can you explain it to me?
This IS secretive.
“Hasidic philosophy explains that the Merkaba is a multi-layered analogy that offers insight into the nature of man, the ecosystem, the world, and teaches us how to become better people.”
“Ma’aseh Bereshit must not be explained before two, nor Ma’aseh Merkabah before one, unless he be wise and understands it by himself,”
“According to R. Ammi, the secret doctrine might be entrusted only to one who possessed the five qualities enumerated in Isaiah iii. 3, and a certain age is, of course, necessary.”
“Ma’asei Merkavah, the first distinctly mystical movement in Jewish history, appeared in the late Greco-Roman period, after the end of the Second Temple period following the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 C.E. It is a form of pre-Kabbalah Jewish mysticism, that teaches both of the possibility of making a sublime journey to God and of the ability of man to draw down divine powers to earth; it seems to be an esoteric movement that grew out of the priestly mysticism already evident in the Dead Sea Scrolls and some apocalyptic writings.”
No, I’m not familiar with it — got something much better and easier.
